Your European birthright, established with care.
Karte Global helps American families establish European citizenship and relocation pathways through descent, ancestry, and other heritage-based routes.
A passport you may never need to use is still worth holding. For this generation and the next.
Four countries. One careful process.
Each European country has its own rules, its own paperwork, and its own quirks. We focus deeply on four where the descent pathways are most navigable for American families.
European citizenship is one pathway. Visa-based relocation is another. Our companion service supports families exploring digital nomad routes, EU Blue Card, freelance visas, and the broader work of planning a European move.
Honest pricing. Clear scope.
Every engagement begins with a conversation. Whether you're exploring a possibility or ready to begin in earnest, there's a starting point that fits.
Eligibility Screening
A focused conversation to find out whether your family history points to a viable descent pathway, and which countries are worth a closer look. This is triage, not a verdict: enough to know whether there is something real to pursue before you invest further.
- 30-minute video or phone call
- A short intake form beforehand, so the call starts with analysis, not paperwork
- Initial review of your family history
- An honest read on whether to go further
- Fee credited toward your assessment if you continue
Pathway Assessment & Roadmap
The definitive read on your case. We research your specific lineage against the law that applies to it and give you a clear answer, with a written assessment that is yours to keep whatever the outcome.
- 60–90 minute working session
- A researched eligibility determination: the binding yes or no, with the reasoning behind it
- A written assessment, yours to keep whatever the answer
- Document checklist and realistic timeline where a pathway exists
- A visa-based alternative via MoveMeTo.EU where it does not
Portfolio Service
End-to-end document procurement, certified translations, apostilles, and coordination through to consulate or court submission.
- Vital records procurement
- Certified translations & apostilles
- Genealogical research support

From first call to passport in hand.
We talk
A focused 30-minute call to understand your family history and identify which pathways are realistically available to you.

A researched determination of whether a pathway exists and, where it does, your roadmap to it: document requirements, realistic timelines, and an honest read on complexity and cost.
We execute
Document gathering, translation, apostilles, and coordination through to your submission, then the relocation when you're ready.
Built from lived experience.
Karte Global is led by Justin Fuhrmann, a dual American and German citizen who obtained his German citizenship through descent. The work is personal before it is professional.
"I didn't set out to build a business. I started telling friends how I'd obtained my dual citizenship, and so many of them wanted to do the same but had no idea where to begin or felt overwhelmed by the process. This practice exists for anyone who finds themselves in that situation."
Justin holds a law degree (Juris Doctor) from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College. He has spent over a decade working at a professional services firm in Arlington, Virginia where he leads project teams that translate dense regulation into actionable guidance for clients. He does not practice immigration law in the US or any EU country, but his legal education and work experience inform his ability to navigate challenging citizenship-by-descent work.
He also serves as Vice Chair of the Arlington County Transportation Commission and President of the Columbia Forest Civic Association, navigating challenging bureaucratic environments. Put that experience to work on your case.
