Charting Your Course to European Citizenship

Effective June 18, 2026  ·  Last updated June 20, 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how Karte Global, LLC (“Karte Global,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit karteglobal.com, communicate with us, or engage us for genealogical research, eligibility analysis, document procurement, or related consulting services. It accompanies and supplements our Master Services Agreement and any Statement of Work. If a signed agreement with you provides differently for how we handle your information, that agreement controls for your engagement.

1.Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you contact us, book a consultation, or engage our services, you provide information directly. This typically includes your name and contact details, information about your family history and ancestry, dates and places of birth, marriage, and death, your citizenship and immigration history, and other details relevant to assessing a citizenship pathway. To deliver later phases of work, you may provide official documents such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, passports, and similar records.

Information about family members and other individuals. Claims to citizenship by descent depend on family history, so the information you provide will often concern other people, including living relatives and deceased ancestors. By providing this information, you confirm that you are entitled to share it with us for the purposes described in this notice. We use it only to perform the services.

Payment information. When you pay an invoice, our payment processor collects the details needed to complete the transaction. We do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.

Information from public and archival sources. As part of our research, we obtain records from public registries, government and ecclesiastical archives, civil record holders, and similar sources. These records may contain personal information about you and your relatives, and on occasion may reveal sensitive details such as religious or ethnic origin. We treat all such information confidentially.

Information collected through our website. Our website is intentionally simple. When you visit it, limited technical information such as your device type, browser, and general location may be processed by our hosting and content providers to deliver and secure the site. Some pages embed third-party tools, such as our intake form and scheduling tool, which operate under their own privacy terms and may set cookies or collect information when you use them.

2.How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations, to assess eligibility and develop pathway recommendations, to carry out research and procure records, to prepare and assemble documents, to communicate with you about your engagement, to issue invoices and process payments, to keep records required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes, and to protect our rights and the security of our systems.

We process your information to perform our agreement with you, to take steps you request before entering into an agreement, to meet our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving our services.

3.How We Share Your Information

Service providers. We use trusted providers to operate our business and share information with them only as needed for them to perform their function. Current examples include providers for website hosting, form intake, appointment scheduling, video conferencing, email, and payment processing. The specific providers may change over time. The current partners are identified as:

  • Website Hosting: Sliplane, sliplane.io, Freienwalder Str. 3, 13359 Berlin, Germany
  • Form Intake: Tally, tally.so, August Van Lokerenstraat 71, 9050 Ghent, Belgium
  • Appointment Scheduling: Meetergo, meetergo.com, Hauptstrasse 44, 40789 Monheim am Rhein, Germany
  • Video Conferencing: Meetergo, meetergo.com, Hauptstrasse 44, 40789 Monheim am Rhein, Germany
  • Email: Tuta, tuta.com, Deisterstr. 17a, 30449 Hanover, Germany
  • Payment Processing: Stripe, stripe.com, 354 Oyster Point Boulevard, South San Francisco, CA 94080, United States

Archives, authorities, and professionals. Delivering the services often requires us to request or submit information to government archives, registries, consulates, and authorities, and to work with independent professionals such as translators and, where you engage them, licensed attorneys. We share information with these parties as reasonably necessary to perform the work you have authorized.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law or legal process, to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.

Business transfers. If our business is involved in a merger, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this notice.

We do not sell your information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4.International Transfers

Because European citizenship pathways involve records and authorities located outside the United States, delivering the services frequently requires personal information to be transferred to and processed in other countries, including in Europe. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. We take reasonable steps to handle information consistently with this notice wherever it is processed.

5.How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the services and to meet legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it in the ordinary course. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so except where we are required to keep it or reasonably need to keep it, for example to comply with law or to establish or defend legal claims.

6.How We Protect Information

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use care when sending sensitive documents and to use any secure channels we make available.

7.Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask questions about how we handle it. We will respond to reasonable requests. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, such as the right to confirm what we collect, to request deletion, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8.Children’s Privacy

Our services are directed to adults and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for our own marketing or service sign-up. Genealogical records we handle may include information about minors or deceased individuals as part of a family history, and we treat that information with the same confidentiality as other personal information.

9.Third-Party Websites

Our website and communications may link to sites we do not control. This notice does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy terms.

10.Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. The version in effect when you engage us, or as later updated, applies to your information.
